Bangerz

Hello ya'll. Due to popular demand, and a small increase in spare time on my behalf (due to not going out on the weekend) I am gonna put some 'bangerz' up. I describe a banger as 'A G-string visibly hanging above the waistline of a tacky chick', but apparently its a really good track that makes people dance really spontaneously for a couple of minutes, depending on how much 'bang' that song has. So using a rough scale, I am gonna say a good banger that goes for 5 minutes would actually 'bang' for 3 minutes (deducting one minute on either end of the beat, and mixing in and/or out). I am bored of this subject already.

The first track is by some of favorite newest producers, i have followed alot of their work since they started releasing bootlegs over blogs. Joe and Will Ask? just released an EP on Kitsune called 'Claymore', to tell the you truth - from what i remember, i don't really like it, and i was a little disappointed to hear all of their past bootlegs and remixes, and then when they have an initial release its not my thing. They made a massive bootleg of 'Mark Houle - Techno vocals' that would go down really well in a huge stadium. The track im posting is the Joe and Will Ask? remix of 'Gazebo' by 'Fairmont'.I didn't get this off a blog, and i haven't really seen it floating around. Heaps of white noise, two epic breakdowns - an inevitable peak time 'bngr'.

The next track is not as bangerish, 'Androgynous' by 'Statik', a good peaktime tune, to squeeze in-between songs to give the crowd a bit of a break - so i guess its not really a banger. Anyway - i really like the structure how the synth-line comes through really early, and the bassline is really natural. Sounds a little bit like Pryda, with the whole progressive feel. In a non music related note - Im not really a fan of the androgynous look amongst dudes, like a loose pair of stovepipes don't astray, but when you walk out the door looking like a female captain cook you gotta start re-considering your steez. Note: this does not apply to people in same-sex relationships.

I remember showing an old flat mate this next song, and i think he started dancing in my bedroom. His name was Stuart Rossiter, and he was fun to live with - he has the ability to make you feel good about something your into, when everyone else tells you its not that good. He showed me how to play vinyls, triangulate money borrowing, and heaps of other cool shit. A man dedicated to bangerz these days, amongst all his babes.
The KNIFE are unbelievable, i do not need to write anything about them - because you probly know more than me. M.A.N.D.Y. on the remix, off their '12 Great Remixes for 11 Great Artists' album. Go out and buy it, and if you don't buy it, delete it after you listen to it.

The next track is by some of my personal favorites - 'Smith 'n' Hack', Smith and Hack are comprised of Errorsmith and Soundhack. They make techno that sounds like it was produced in space. I'm assuming your already familar with their remix of Herbet's 'Moving Like a Train', I got the vinyl from JB HIFI for ten dollars - and still havent't opened it i like it so much. Space Warrior by Smith 'n' Hack is intense to say the least, and all those video game space noises, and never ending test tones is enough to send you slightly loopy but the choir vocals and rolling bassline seem to even everything out. Heavily under rated and I am hanging out for the next time they are in Sydney.

Ok - so there was not many 'brszrzgz' there, or whatever new abbreviation is trendy right now, but there was tons of amazing tunes - so whether they 'bang' or not is really about the right place at the right time rather then the biggest banger all the time.....right? Also - UP-LOG has recently banned you transferring songs to use on your ringtone/train ride. Thank you for your time. UP.
